Pets & Errands by Serena Dog Logo ElementYou may have already seen the logo illustration that I did for Pets & Errands by Serena. Yesterday the website, petsanderrands.com, went live. I utilised two separate layouts for this content rich site because the home page needed an eye catching way to display the company slogan, while the other pages needed room for the content to grow.

As always, I encourage everyone to take a look and offer some feedback.

Now comes the part where I wax validation.

I am proud to say that the HTML validates strict and the CSS validates as well (something I don’t usually strive for). There are usually a few IE hacks in my CSS that I have to toss in for true cross-browser continuity (which in turn invalidates my code).

I’m under the consensus that to have a site look consistent in all browsers is more important than having valid CSS. The client isn’t going to care that their CSS validates, but they will care if their site looks askew in IE.
